DIY and Good Things!

Been getting my DIY on again! Made this tied fringe top of an old pair of leggings. It used to be my favorite leggings, then  got a stupid idea to turn it into a long sleeve shirt, failed, let it collect dust for a while... then the other day I got a less stupid idea to turn it into a fringe top. The fabric peace necklace is something I made a while ago and I'm wearing a big shawl as a sarong. Looks like summer. Summer looks. Is this what summer looks like? I almost forgot with all the rain. Atleast it's lush. Expecting both pears, apples and rhubarbs soon! Planning some kickass pie.

I'm not a fan of promoting things, but I am an almost crazy fan of these lovely ladies at goodthingsmag.com and their vision as I've watched it take form and grow. It's all about happy news, inspiration, feel good, amazing people and wonderous things. Their first issue was released the 27th (yesterday). So cheers! Raising my cup of yogi tea to you!

Home is where the art is

There's a lot going on right now. Working on a poster for a musical, a project with another artist, learning french, starting up with forever aloe vera, the possibility ambassadors and of course making things. So I went back to my roots at "island land" to get a break from everything. Decided I was gonna do nothing, which turned out to be quite difficult. I ended up making these neck pieces and two braclets from something called "zpaghetti" (stretch fabric) that I got at the weavers fair 2011.

Unusual coffee break

"KONSTPAUS I KAFFET"
I thought I didn't have a lot of paints... but I was wrong because anything can be paint.
This time I used soy sauce, red wine, hot chocolate, coffee and tea. Not the usual coffee break.

Flower hour

Usually I avoid purple. I don't know why I do, but then when I saw this lovely fabric I just had to have it even though I had no clue what I wanted to do with it. So I kept it in a closet for months... until this tuesday when my eyes stumbled upon it again and there was that old flame of mine burning strong again and I immediately knew what I was to make of it. It's always the simple things that are the best and it took only one lazy day to make it.

Thanks to my dear sister Cecilia for modelling, trusting me with her camera for an hour and showing me how Lr (Light room) works. Peace.
